Dr. Rajvir Bhalwar is the chief editor and Lead Author (authored almost 25% of all chapters) of the “Textbook of Public Health and Community Medicine” published by the WHO-India Office, New Delhi and Armed Forces Medical College, Pune.
The textbook saw the light of the day in 2009 and is considered to be the most comprehensive textbook in “Public Health & Community Medicine” available in India, with more than 225 chapters, authored by a large galaxy of eminent authors, and subsequently reviewed by a team of top ranking academicians in this field, before publication. It is widely sought after textbook, particularly at the Post-Graduate level as well as by specialists in Public Health. However, being a “non-priced” publication and the only edition which was published, its availability is scarce.
